WHY I MEDITATE:

THROUGHOUT MY LIFE, I HAVE STRUGGLED WITH ANXIETY AND PERIODIC BOUTS OF DEPRESSION.  MY DAILY MEDITATION PRACTICE is an essential part of my self-care.  It HELPS ME SOOTHE MY  STRESS AND SORROWS MORE EFFECTIVELY THAN OTHER THINGS I HAVE TRIED.  THERE HAVE BEEN MANY OTHER UNEXPECTED BENEFITS TO MY PRACTICE AS WELL, INCLUDING BETTER MENTAL FOCUS, INCREASED CREATIVE ENERGY, AND DEEPER SLEEP. 

MEDITATION HELPS ME MAINTAIN MY OWN MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH.  LIKE MOST AMERICANS/WESTERNERS I DIDN'T THINK I WAS ABLE TO MEDITATE, UNTIL I FOUND THE PRACTICE THAT WORKED FOR ME AND REALIZED THAT I COULD.  AND THAT I NEEDED TO. PLus, IT IS FREE AND I CAN DO IT WHENEVER I NEED TO.
